A Tanzanian miner has earned more than 3.35 million dollars after he found two tanzanite gemstones ever recorded. These two gemstones are about 10 cm thick and 30 cm long. The first gemstone weighed 9.27kg and the second weight 5.103kg, the biggest tanzanite previously found was 3.38 kg.
Overnight wealth is the dream of every person in the world, but this dream can’t get fulfilled for most of people. This came true for a miner in Tanzania. Saninui Laizer has miners that work for him. One of his miners found these two stones and handed them over to Laizer. This discovery came to known by the public when he decided to sell these stones to the government. He decided to distribute 10 per cent of the money obtained from these gemstones among his workers.
One of his workers said that we have a very tough routine, we had to work in dust for hours. Now we are happy that our boss found these stones. We will have meat party once we reached the mining site again.

In an interview to BBC Laizer said:
"There will be a big party tomorrow, I want to build a shopping mall and a school. I want to build this school near my home. There are many poor people around here who can’t afford to take their children to school,” Laizer, from Simanjiro district in Manyara, told the BBC.

The President of Nigeria  John Magufuli called and congratulated Laizer on his achievement. President directed the officials to put these stones in the National Museum of Tanzania.

Tanzanite is a very unique stone that is only discovered in northern Tanzania and is used to make ornaments.

The precious stone’s appeal lies in its variety of types and colours, including green, red, purple and blue. Its value is determined by rarity – the finer the colour or clarity, the higher the price.
