In Cricket, a hat-trick is a special occasion where a bowler
in three consecutive deliveries takes three wickets, dismissing three different
batsmen. As of February 2020, Hat Trick is achieved 45 times in more than 2000
matches in the longest format of cricket [International Test Matches]. The
first of its kind was recorded on 2 January 1879 in history of Test Cricket, in
only the third Test match to take place, by the Australian pace bowler Fred
Spofforth, nicknamed "The Demon Bowler", who dismissed three English
batsmen with consecutive deliveries at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The most the recent hat-trick was taken by Pakistan's pace bowler Naseem Shah against
Bangladesh in February 2020.

be named in an all-time Test World XI to mark the 150th anniversary of Wisden

March 1999 in Asian Test Championship match at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore by
taking wickets of Romesh Kaluwitharana (c Moin Khan), Niroshan Bandaratilleke
(b), Pramodya Wickramasinghe (b) in a breathtaking spell.

Gunawardene (c Shahid Afridi), Chaminda Vaas (b), Mahela Jayawardene (c
Wajahatullah Wasti).

cricket took a hattrick at Galle International Stadium, Galle on Pakistan tour

achieved the milestone by sending the following players to pavilion Romesh
Kaluwitharana (c Moin Khan), Rangana Herath (lbw), Ravi Pushpakumara (lbw).

of Australia 2019. The young bowler claimed a Hattrick vs Bangladesh during the
2nd innings of Bangla tigers in the first match of 2 match series
hosted by Pakistan to become the youngest fast bowler to take a Hattrick in the
history of cricket. In a sensational spell in session 3 of day 3, he claimed the
wickets of the following Nazmul Hossain Shanto (lbw), Taijul Islam (lbw),
Mahmudullah Riyad (c Haris Sohail) on 9th February 2020.
