Islamic Teachings on Waking Up Early
What science told us today after research, Islam teaches us that 1400 years ago. It is Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad PBUH to wake up for Tahajjud that is around 2 a.m.
In the Quran, Allah says that
"Perform the Salat (Prayer) from midday till the darkness of the night, and recite the Qur'an in the early dawn. Verily, the recitation of the Qur'an in the early dawn is ever witnessed (attended by the angels)." [Qur'an 17:78]
Another place Allah SWT says that
"We erased the sign of the night and made the sign of the day visible" (Qur'an 17:12)
Unfortunately, we made the sign of the night more visible than the sign of day by staying up all night and sleeping most during the day.
