Parents will
be able to send a complaint or letter to the commission, despite warning if children
failed to obey parents, they will be fined 25,000 or imprisoned for a month in
jail.
Senate accepted
the bill for the punishment on parental disobedience. Parents can register
their complaints to commission through phone or letter. Laws against children
will come into action if they disobey their parents. According to the Newspaper
Report, Functional committee of the senate on Human rights recommends some amendments
to remove defects and duplication after focusing on the fifth part of Zainab Alert
Bill, the committee unanimously approved the bill to fine and punish children not
taking good care of their parents, A welfare commission will be made for the
rights of the old citizen, and Old age homes will be built.
Disable People
complained about the inappropriate behaviour of PIA staff, one disabled man said that
we had to face inhumane behaviour in several banks. Committee called on officials
of PIA and state Bank on next session of Senate. Bill was accepted with the
consent of Old parents and disabled persons.
Commission
will formulate a policy for the physical, mental and psychological well-being of
elderly citizens. The commission can also take Suo moto against a child who is
not taking care of his/her parents.
This bill is
only for Islamabad, People with disabilities in committee demanded the implementation
of the bill for the entire country, not just for Islamabad.
